SAP ECC – Key User and Super User Training
Industry: Packaging (Manufacturing)
Solutions: SAP ERP, Warehouse, Inventory, Sales, Finance.
Client Overview:
A global manufacturing organisation in the packaging sector expanded its UK footprint through a strategic acquisition. SAP ERP was the parent company ERP in use across its’ international locations and needed to be implemented into the newly acquired subsidiary.
Challenge / Business Need:
To support this acquisition and implementation of SAP ERP, the business required a structured Change Management led SAP training programme to upskill its internal competence team and enable long-term self-sufficiency. A key challenge was overcoming user-resistance following a previous ERP rollout, which had resulted in user dissatisfaction, lack of solution adoption and change fatigue. Rebuilding user confidence and ensuring effective SAP adoption were critical to the programmes success.
Our Approach:
We conducted detailed scoping sessions to understand the client’s business processes, system usage, and operational pain points. Through an iterative review of SAP module utilisation, we designed a tailored training programme aligned to the organisation’s specific requirements. The programme was delivered on-site to a focused group of Key Users and Super Users, equipping them with the practical knowledge and confidence to support adoption and act as internal champions.
The design process ensured the SAP training content reflected real business scenarios, resulting in a bespoke on-site programme aligned to the client’s operational priorities.
Solution Delivered:
We developed and delivered a structured training programme consisting of three targeted learning tracks:
- SAP Solution Overview: focused on building foundational understanding
- Solution Based Key User tracks: 5 solution focused tracks on Finance, OTC, P2P, Production and Inventory
- Super User track: designed to enable internal system support and 1st level internal troubleshooting capability
Results & Impact:
The programme achieved a quality score of 94.9% across all assessed metrics. Participants reported significant improvements in system confidence and efficiency, with measurable time savings in daily operations. The organisation established a capable internal support structure, enabling sustainable SAP adoption and reducing reliance on external support.
